MineLogoThe California State Mining and Mineral Museum Association (CSMMMA) is a California 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation operating as a Cooperating Association  under contract with California State Parks.  The operational structure of the Association consists of a donor membership base, open to the public, and an all-volunteer Board of Directors.  The sole purpose of the Association is to support the educational and interpretive programs of the museum.

Additionally, the Association funds and supports the State Park Volunteers in Parks (VIP) Program,  the Museum gift shop and book store, the annual Mariposa Gem and Mineral Show, and new acquisitions to the collection.

CSMMMA markets the membership program, purchases new minerals for the collection, manages the Association Funds, and helps to support and grow the Museum.  In addition, the Association hosts fund raising events which directly benefit the Museum.

All memberships and donations are tax deductible.

For fiscal year 2017/2018 the Board Officers are:

Dick Shields – President
Rick Kennedy – Vice President
Nikki West – Treasurer
Bess Shields – Secretary
Felix Romero – Membership Secretary

Note:  The CSMMMA Board of Directors is actively seeking a few new key board members. If you have a love of rocks and minerals, mining and history, education and nature interpretation, support of State Parks, support of museums, or support of places and events in Mariposa, then please contact one of the board members or email info@camineralmuseum.org. We meet every two months in person, but in between there is a steady stream of email and other communications.
